This program for middle schoolers operates from 4pm-6pm every school day and emphasizes learning, leadership and life skills. Each day, participants receive homework help and tutoring and are able to engage in fun, enriching activities. These include health workshops from Whittier Street Health Center, tech classes through the South End Tech Center, clothing art with Mad*Ink Boston, and community organizing against the rising violence in the South End. Leaders from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and City Year and peers from the Boston Youth Organizing Project have led leadership training workshops. Fun field trips have included bowling at King's, roller skating at Chez Vous, games at Good Times, and movies downtown.
