STYLES OF PRACTICE
Nicoline offers Vinyasa Yoga and Restorative Yoga classes.
Vinyasa Yoga: Vinyasa Yoga is a vigorous yet receptive practice in which the sequential movement between postures is initiated and guided by breath, creating a fluid moving meditation. Cultivating freedom and fluidity in the body, Vinyasa creates physical integration while enhancing self-awareness. Nicoline's fresh and intelligent sequencing creates an engaging opportunity to find ones state of flow. As an avid music fan, her classes incorporate an eclectic selection of uplifting and inspirational music to enhance the collective energy of the group experience.
Restorative Yoga: Longer holdings (3-5 min.) of passive floor postures supported with props are used to create deep opening and release. Longer holds allow for the needed time to melt physical, mental and emotional resistance. This gentle and receptive practice is an important balance or alternative to more strenuous styles of practice in times of burn-out or low energy.
Please contact Nicoline with any questions or concerns to receive more information about classes.
"By immersing ourselves in a daily practice with a routine that does not indulge in the ups and downs of the mind and body, we can create a habit of not giving in to defeat. If we develop a strong connection to a single-pointed intention rather than to the fluctuating mind, we have a platform from which to launch ourselves fearlessly into Selfhood"
-Sharon Gannon & David Life from "The Art of Yoga"
